Charter Trip HOLIDAY Specials

IT'S THE HOLIDAY SEASON - GIVE A GIFT OF FISHING & CRABBING

The Alaska Department of Fish & Game is having another Tanner Crab season in Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet this winter which will run from October 1st, 2018 through February 28th, 2019.

To take advantage of this bonus crabbing opportunity, Driftwood Charters will be offering another COMBO King Salmon Trolling and Crab Pot Pulling trip this winter appropriately called KINGS ~N~ CLAWS for a great savings over the regular winter combo trip price.

This Holiday Special has been extended to run through the end of crab season, February 28th. So there is plenty of opportunity to take advantage of adding some delicious crustaceans to your holiday meals. Hurry before your day is booked.

Round up your fishing buddies and fill the boat with up to SIX anglers. The price is $1200 for the boat for the day. For six anglers that comes to only $200 per person (excluding tax) and a savings of $50 per person over the regular winter price of a two species combo.

Your crab pot will be soaking all day while you are out trolling for feeder king salmon. After a day of salmon fishing you will head back and retrieve the crab pot with the onboard pot puller and split up the day's catch among your group before heading back to the harbor. This client crab harvest method complies with the ADFG regulations governing the use of a charter service to harvest sport caught shellfish. Fishing & Crabbing Combos are very rare since crab seasons are generally closed most years for our area and only recently been available during the wintertime.

Call Captain Shane direct at (907) 252-2866 to book your group for this limited time offer. We have mild weather and the fish and crab are on the bite!

Everyone onboard (including kids) who want to try for CRAB will need a FREE sportfishing shellfish permit for this area from the ADFG Online Store. You can apply for the permit online and they will email you the PDF file so you can print it out. You must have your permit with you when on the boat so don't forget it.

CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE ADFG STORE to apply for your Tanner Crab Permit. Be sure to select the Cook Inlet sportfishing permit and not the PWS permit. It is called 2018-2019 Cook Inlet and North Gulf Coast Sport Tanner Crab Permit.

MAC & iOS Users: Do not use FIREFOX browser as a glitch will prevent seeing the Cook Inlet Tanner Crab permit in the dropdown. It works fine using SAFARI. Windows users can use any browser.

Remember this is king salmon fishing and you will need your King Stamp besides your fishing license. The limit is 2 kings per day in this area.

The crab limit is 3 male tanner crab 4 1/2" or larger per person.

What To Bring: Wear layered warm clothes and warm footware. Bring a lunch or snacks and your beverages. The Misty has a heated cabin and comfortable seating and a marine toilet for your convenience. All bait, tackle, and fish cleaning is included.

Come On! Let's Go Fishin'. Capt. Shane 252-2866
